Chimney problem...what can i use to fill void between chimney and shingles? - pictures of shingles on the breast
If you look at the pictures I see that the wood of the seat between the house and the tiles to fill the void. Is that normal, or something better I can use to fill?

Details of wood is a fairly standard to fill the gap. Make sure that the chimney is firmly anchored to the house. Use pressure treated or cedar, and the gap loose fiberglass insulation or expanding foam (Great Stuff). First, the back of the wood with a quality manual and then install with nails or screws concrete (Tapcon) is. Fill out the heads of the screws or nails, cousins and color to match. Good luck.
