Hives More Condition_symptoms How Long Will Hives Continue After An Allergic Reaction To Medication?

How long will hives continue after an allergic reaction to medication? - hives more condition_symptoms

My 6-year-old daughter had an allergic reation to penicillanic yesterday and scans all hives. I give him Benadryl every 4 hours, but when it broke up with more. Who knows how long he can continue to go with them? Or I should do something to help?

What was the penicillin? If I had the immediate reaction () within a few hours after the first dose, but surely must be on steroids, if you do not receive an injection of steroids, persistent hives. The reason is that it is considered a serious reaction when this happens quickly, and Benadryl is not enough (especially if he keeps hives). It must be the anti-inflammatory steroids to inflammation and the response to histamine calm, clear both on the floor and to prevent the means (swelling and irritation, pulmonary, respiratory, etc..) The most common is prednisone. Depending on your weight, the doctor gave him a dose of 20 mg 2x daily (Day 5-10) and 30 mg 2 times a day (for 5-10 days).

If I had it for several days Benadryl should be available in roughly the same number of days that were. For example, if you were penicillin for 3 days, they can clear 3 days for the hives. This is to penicillin has accumulated in his system of 3Days prior to the reaction and can take some time out of your system.

How often have you as Benadryl? Continue to provide all 4 hours, until you consult your doctor to discuss other options. It is very convenient to hives, and it is very likely that other symptoms of feeling reaction (itchy eyes, runny nose, nausea, etc..)

Be sure to tell your daughter to tell you, if you feel dizzy, like you can not breathe, like the mouth is starting tingling or itching, as it must keep hawking, etc. or any other sign that a barrier methods can indicate inflammation. If you notice any swelling of the eyes or led in part to the hospital immediately.

I hope that helps, and keep an eye on her daughter - allergic reactions, particularly drugs are nothing to mess with. If you have any doubts, they take in the emergency room. Definitely better safe than sorry with this kind of thing.

(On a side note, I do not have all this anxiety. If there were more than 12 hours since the onset of urticaria, anaphylaxis severe allergy / [life in danger] reaction is unlikely, possible, but then I thought, you know anyway .)

Good luck with everything!

The doctor should be able to lend a W / (I) cortical zone. Hives can be very dangerous if not properly treated.

Not much you can do, they hold more than comfortable.
I had an allergic reaction, but was in hospital stay in bed and I had to wait until it is approved by him. When I was still with Benadryl.

I think you should take it to the doctor if the doctor can prescribe somthing different, because you can allergic reaction to something they are and you must continue to give to your child.

Use of an allergic reaction can be fatal if it advances to swelling of the throat and cut off the airway, it is called anaphlactic shock, I go to the doctor or go to the emergency room, I came by chance, would like Benadryl, can be quite an infusion of epinepherine'll never have a chance this time that the next reaction will be worse.

My daughter also had like a month ago and because of my negligence in the use of electricity .. I suggest you ask your doctor if you are still that they have to take Benadryl, or if it disappears. Another thing could be more ... pennicillin I hope she feels better
